Java popup

Do any one knows how to make java popup (table and not new window) linked to aword. Example : a link called Boardc (http://) when pressing on word board a popup table appears written in it what ever data i would like to add . I need to know how to insert this popup table. Thanx in advance.

Meaning the alert? aka alert('whatever text') or onclick=(newwindow;width=200;height=200)

No not alert i need apopup table you know like those of the adv. to be linked to a button and not to be opened every one enters. I don't won't it a new window , i need a table which means that it won't contain except min,max and close buttons and not like the new window.
