Valentine Sequencing Contest

The rules: It has to be a self sequenced love song and maybe even heartbreak. Entries are due on Valentine's day. Sorry no renditions of songs. Provide lyrics on one of the tracks (jeaniesing know's which one, i don't though lol). The poll is going to run a week after valentines day.

1st place 500MB$
2nd place 250MB$
3rd place 100MB$
All other entries would recieve 50MB$

Framework done..... needs to be humanized and fleshed out BUT for fear of missing the contest altogether I'll post this for now :)

Ummmm - question..... If I had another idea for another piece and grew the time to play with it - can I have 2 entries? It's kinda a Vamp-ish bluesy thing with a ripped-off bass line ;)

Ok, I've revamped mine a little. Sounds ok through my keyboard but not so good thru my Soundblaster Live. Still working on the lyrics and hoping to have them finished before close of comp.

King...I couldn't figure out how to change my post so I am posting a new one and am going to delete the old. This is a new version with lyrics (problems with the instrument though, it is slap bass and should be choir ahhs).
This is now a collaboration between Jeaniesing and I (I wrote the Valentines Song and she added the lyrics...

Congrats, Jeanie. That song came together really well! You're a natural songwriter, especially the vocal lines and lyrics. I should say that again, you're quite a lyricist :).

I enjoyed all the entries, you all should be proud of those creations! :thumbsup:

I really enjoyed your suggestions Zel (esp Flute and timp hit) and hope to incorporate them in a future version (that's if there ever IS a future version - I have a tendency to not finish projects ;)) I just cleaned what I had up and didn't take time to explore new ideas..... bad me :)

after listening to all the entrees and pondering over which one is my favorite, I was torn between gandalf's "5 days of valentine" and jeanie's "valentine". I loved the witty lyrics that gandalf used and I loved the melody from jeanie's, well at the end it all came down to the feeling I wanted so I chose Jeanie.
