If poetry you write of me,
I think I'll kick you in the knee.

xj911
02-05-2003, 04:49 PM

Elven
02-06-2003, 09:39 AM
Pointy ears,voice of a lark,
To my sweet song the young men hark,
Dancing in the forest glade,
In flowing robes of gold and jade.

All the creatures dearest friends.
The forest's beauty never ends,
So long as magic dances there.
Till end of days without a care.

xj911
02-06-2003, 10:12 AM
That was pretty good! now I want a poem for me! :(

Elven
02-06-2003, 10:18 AM
hmmm...

Supa Sexy midi monkey,
Spidermod my God he's funky,
Turns me on just like a charm,
And to my body does no harm.

Dressed in spandex head to toe,
So all his sweet physique must show,
Is it any wonder power has he
Over my body and over me?

xj911

All the prose inside this thread
All for elven will swell her head
She'll start to strut and Toss her hair
Her attitude will be hard to bear

So someone please hear this call
And speak to elven now ten feet tall
Tell her that its only prose
And please put down her snooty nose

Ah excuse me jeanie you just call elven a gnome yourself

Anyway I don't wear undies. Snakes don't have hips to hang em off.

Isn't it amazing how snakes can get just about everybody riled up. I love it

At least your hat won't ever fall of your head elven. Not with those oversize ears. Ever thought of hiring yourself out as a windbreak. Is that bringing it on enough for you lol

Elven

Hoo-ah! naked elf walkin! WOOT!

ZelRiptha
02-10-2003, 01:02 PM
Give heed to our fair Elvenarcher:
when cavorting unclothed she's a parcher!
She frolics unshod,
unashamed of her bod';
from her innocence, quite a departure!

She's professed of her naivete,
oft enough has she been heard to say:
I'm really quite blameless,
of my nudity shameless,
such sordid sex games I don't play!

Now this sort of talk makes one wonder,
from her wits has this girl flown asunder?
Now I'm not a prude,
but this prance in the nude
seems to emphasize sex with great thunder!

I must say that I am not complaining,
this vista is most entertaining.
The catch is, truth told,
keeping raptures controlled
and my carnal responses restraining!

Elven
02-10-2003, 01:17 PM
I so ashamed! :'( i'm not really bad, honest! I just like to tease....hmmm...I wonder how crazy I'm going to be when I no longer retain my virginity.

xj911
02-10-2003, 02:13 PM
LOL...keep us informed

ZelRiptha
02-10-2003, 02:43 PM
Of course, the verse is meant in tribute, not in accusation. :)

And I should say, that teasing is working... :smart:

Elven
02-10-2003, 06:27 PM
I'm going away on a trip for two weeks! Take care!

Sonnet 16

Let me not to the marriage of true minds

Admit impediments. Love is not love

Which alters when it alteration finds,

Or bends with the remover to remove:

O no! it is an ever-fixed mark

That looks on tempests and is never shaken;

It is the star to every wandering bark,

Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.

Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks

Within his bending sickle's compass come:

Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,

But bears it out even to the edge of doom.

If this be error and upon me proved,

I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

William Shakespeare

(1564 - 1616)

AS LONG AS I HAVE YOU (Elvis Presley)

Let the stars fade and fall
And I won't care at all
As long as I have you

Every kiss brings a thrill
And I know that it will
As long as I have you

Let's think of the future
Forget the past
You're not my first love
But you're my last
Take the love that I bring
Then I'll have everything
As long as I have you

Let's think of the future
Forget the past
You're not my first love
But you're my last
Take the love that I bring
Then I'll have everything
As long as I have you

As long, as long as I have you

Zel...you are a Savior!

Elven
03-21-2003, 05:25 AM
How about some more of that flatterring poetry folks. ;)

ZelRiptha
03-26-2003, 05:42 PM
She's asked for additional flattery,
As such she'll expect quite a battery.
Here's my small contribution:
There's no substitution
for a gal who's possessed of such cattery!

Of course I would be quite remiss
for departing with nary a kiss,
so here's a big wet one:
I hope you'll forget none
of the splendor thus rendered in bliss!

Si

Si
03-27-2003, 05:32 AM
yeah, what's your poetic secret, Zel?

Elven
03-27-2003, 05:40 AM
I'm not certain quite as to how
Doth he render verse both here and now.
So incredibly deft
That most readers are left
With a lightness of heart and of brow.

ZelRiptha
03-27-2003, 11:59 AM
You both pose an interesting query,
of my secret revealing I'm wary,
since it may come to pass
you'd my odes all surpass,
and my poetic gift so to bury!

I perhaps oughtn't halt on this scruple,
and deprive each a potential pupil.
Instead I'd elucidate,
and lead each to contemplate,
their poetic skills could quadruple!

I present then my first poesy lesson
(and thus hope to obviate guessin'):
Imagine yourself
as a book on a shelf,
or a stool in a delicatessen.

To "imagine" I find is the key
and from the physical world to be free.
It may seem quite chancy,
but your own flights of fancy,
must be clear for your reader to see.

If great skills you would hope to obtain,
a few things we must first ascertain:
keep your references tabular,
practice lessons vocabular,
from grammar you must not abstain!

Keep in mind, you, these few simple rules,
for they all will prove valuable tools.
To your whims be attentive
for with no small incentive,
you'll soon compose poetic jewels!

BRAVO!!! BRAVO!!!

ZelRiptha
04-21-2003, 05:16 PM
*blushes slightly*

Come now!

The aim of this thread's to converse
using most careful rhyme and clear verse.
When able we'll praise
her whose banner we raise
and whose beauty no words can traverse!

When not so profoundly engaged,
we might bring our muses uncaged.
What could bring all more joy
than for each to employ
such a gift and to see it so staged!

(Hint, hint!) ;)

Elven

*covers Xj's eyes* no no...that wasn't Trogdor....that was his...er...cousin..yeah...cousin, Dragmar.

Elven
04-25-2003, 06:02 AM
I'm guessing that NOT what Zel was refering too.

ZelRiptha
04-25-2003, 09:07 AM
Oh, sorry, indeed my diction was obtuse. The translation is: we could all write in verse here, it could be fun. :)

Elven
04-25-2003, 02:32 PM
write poetry about myself? I'm not THAT conceited. ;)

ZelRiptha
04-25-2003, 03:27 PM
Oi!

*slaps forehead*

Not really what I meant - converse in verse between tributes is more what I had in mind. :)

But I obviously need to work on my diction and semantics! ;)

Elven
04-25-2003, 03:38 PM
*offers excuse for Zel* .....Or I could just be a dense cloud.

ZelRiptha
04-25-2003, 04:05 PM
A cloud dense are you not, ordering not in sequence proper and with meaning clearest. When 900 years old you reach, look as good you will not! Hm? (http://www.pnc.com.au/~bridgfam/yoda900.wav) ;)

Elven
04-25-2003, 06:54 PM
(sigh) Why is not the earth containing more like yourself?

ZelRiptha
10-30-2003, 12:28 PM
I feel after the alien punk picture doctoring, I owe this sweet lass yet another tribute:

This chick's made in highest of quality,
of seriousness and lightest frivolity.
At her glance do I hearten,
but with discipline Spartan
contain joy, hope, and lust with equality.

When around her we all feel elated,
our need for her presence hard sated.
It's important she know
that we cherish her glow
and I for one make it so stated!

Well, this one was languishing in a seldom perused thread (http://board.midibuddy.net/t8314.html), so I thought it might live more appropriately here.

Posessed of precocious sagacity
is our winsome Elf,
And lyrically sonorous diction
belies her ageless self.

Gladsomely are we met each day
with tidings steeped arborial,
Her lilting gait, her songful voice,
through centuries immemorial.

With grateful hearts we count us blessed
to share her bounties green,
For fortune hath our lot thus set,
and finds us thus serene!

We miss the presence of our tawny maiden,
our verdant-clad, most lithe and lissome nymph;
Her absense leaves our souls with feelings hollow,
our faces dour with phaticness most emph.

Should she return our somberness might languish,
and be replaced with aspect light and cheerful;
Her presence plants in all hearts 'round her gladness,
with shouts and songs let's show our joy in earfuls! :D
