Everything I learned about HTML I learned by reading online articles. Any place that offers free personal web space usually will have a help page.

actually, google (www.google.com) comes up with some great tutorials on html just type exactly, with the inverted commas and the plus sign:

Find a simple webpage (white background, black text, one column only.) Click the View menu in your web browser and choose Source. Just edit the text the person wrote (leave the HTML tags alone) and you'll have yourself a good basic webpage.

Then you can start trying to edit the HTML tags and seeing what happens.

This advice comes from Philip Greenspun ( http://philip.greenspun.com ) but I'm not sure if his book Philip and Alex's Guide to Web Publishing is for beginners, as I've never read it.

Yea looking @ other peoples sources is a good way to learn but DONT use it as your web page, The way i learnt was by Downloading Coffee Cup HTML Editer (You dont get better than that).

Just Experiment with it
