I totally agree - this is definitely what they have done. It's done all the time on CDs, just to give the chic credit. If she says "no let's use the word 'the' instead of 'a'" they give her credit. I really like Avril, but I think there must be something a little more real out there, this solo girl thing is getting tired, no?

Avril, like most artisits these days, can't actually sing. If you've ever heard her live you'll know what I mean. It's ear muff type stuff. Her songs are pretty catchy though.

geez.. i cant believe some of u'z actually believe that crap that she writes her own music.. she CO - WRITES them! and that could mean sitting in the same room as the real writer.. she's so crap live n her voice needs to be digitally edited.. also she cant even play guitar!! she just pretends too.. if u check the credits on her cd she only plays for one of them!
i guess she can sing and jump around like an infuriated monkey but wat is with that snotty attitude.. she bags out brit for using image to promote herself but wat about avril!! she'd hav nothing if it wasnt for those stupid ties and baggy pants

The talent ends with her looks cos after that there's virtually nothing. And whoever convinced the majority of you that she writes her own songs I feel sorry for since she has about 4 writers to do it for her, she can't skate, she can't play guitar and her singing isn't great (ever hear her rendition of Chop Suey... I will post it on here sometime). And if you think listening to her makes you punk too then I suggest its time to reconsider the genre definition, dressing semi-punk does not make you punk especially if you are going to sing commercialized pop.

Her album is great. She's big because people can relate to what she's singing. She's quite mainstream though. If stupid little girls weren't so freakin', "I wanna be be a punk like Avril!!!", the world would be a better place. Classified in the likes of Britney, Christina, Nsync........whatever.

Her music is good - on the radio and TV. But when she gets on stage, it seems as though her voice drops an octave. You can tell that her voice is modified for the albums she produces.

That and the fact that she says she isn't punk, and yet she dresses the part.

She's a good singer, like I said. But she's not one of my favourites.
