Uses of Karaoke MIDI

Just wondering: what have you guys seen karaoke midis used for? Most of the time they just seem to be background music for someone's page. Have you thrown a karaoke party with this stuff? Just like to hum along at work? Recorded your own lyrics over the top? Used it as backing in your live gigs?

I know a few people who use them as backing music at live gigs and such. I also know a guy who uses them to do karaoke in bar, just connecting to another screen and amps and whatever. I just use them to sing at home, kills time now and then, ya know? Well thats what I've seen them used for

I think karaoke midis are great! I love to sing along, but I always need the lyrics! ;)

I have thrown a few karaoke parites for my friends - they're always a big hit.

The funny thing here is that at the beginning of a party nobody wants to sing, and at the end there's a line-up to get to the mic.

I have 2 mics connected so that 2 people can sing the same song... 8)

Some musicians use these files to rehearse or jam along to.Makes good practice.
