are you looking for good sounds or good feel?
I have the xv-3080 module, which is expandable and sounds great.

Cheers

rolands got the some of the best sound modules...

I'd 2nd the notion of the Xv 3080

but if you need a keyboard well Roland Xp-60 or something would be suitable.

best bet is a cheap midi controller and the Xv 3080 rack

i don't know which part of the globe ppl are from but I found the cheapest roland gear in Singapore. I got the XV 3080 there for just over $1000 US and keyboard controllers started at around $100 US all new and under waranty(I know it doesn't help much outside SE Asia though. (And I am in Australia).

The upgrade cards were around $250 US..

I dont know which keyboard is the best, but I liked Roland XP-30
or XV-30 (whatever), but then again.. i probably would buy
Roland JD800 / JP-8000 (but those are analog synths)

Hi
My recommedation is not to buy a RS5/9, I´m not
satisfied. I recommed you to buy a XV3080 or
XV5050 module instead.
