That is probably THE most abysmal poll I've seen yet. Chances are, whoever put this poll together thinks the Black Album is the be-all and end-all of heavy metal, if you're going to compare Metallica to the likes of Linkin Park.

I mean, are we talking rock? Then where's Aerosmith, Queen, Guns 'n Roses?

Or are we talking metal? Then where's Sabbath, Slayer, Megadeth, Iron Maiden?

And I detest new metal, so Linkin Park & Limp Bizkit, whatever. Korn are passable, for me.

I really dont like those chioces because none of them come close to the best rock bands. Some of those are not even real rock. Like Limp Biskit or whatever, thats a big NO. And the Red Hot Chilipeppers, last time I heard them they sounded bad. I dont listen to most of there music though. I would say the best out of that list is Linkin Park but i dont even like them very much. The best rock band I think would have to be.......TIE...three way...Coheed, rufio, and sayosin.

If u say Metallica is a rock band then my favourite 'Rock' bands are: Metallica, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Led Zepplin, and even Pantera, Fear Factory and Machine Head. None of that sissy **** like limp bizkit and linkin park.

Lifespan-wise its Metallica and Korn.
Popular impact (meaning the 'blow-up' factor) would be Limp Bizkit, Nirvana, and Linkin Park.
And for longevity (how much stuff can you put out before you rack up enough crappy songs?), the Chili Peppers easily come out on top.
