Linkin Park most definately, the others don't come close, even though we're comparing apples with pears here, as Metallica isn't really in the same league, I mean the new groups, as mentioned previously in the thread, are more "nu-metal" and could never replicate or come close to metallica.

The only way these "newer" bands could come close to metallica, is to have the life span, variety and versatility that Metallica has had for longer than even the Internet has been around. Even still the kids love to hear the classics that Metallica produced. I'll make sure I hide an old CD of the boys in my kids collection, just so they can appreciate the business!!

And as for Limp Bizkit... I utterly hate them. I dislike Fred, save for his directing and stuff... I mean, hey, he found Staind and Cold. Two great bands.

I agree with Matt0009, The Pixies are my favourite band of all time. The sad thing is they have made so much good music and have only sold about 500 000 albums since the 80's! Hopefully they will get back together.
Yes; Nirvana copied the Pixies. Check out "U-Mass" it's on the album "Trompe le Monde". Listen to the courses. That's where they got the idea for "Smells like Teen Spirit".
