how do you create a click track to guide the drummer in logic

If your sound card has only TWO (one Stereo) outputs The problem is not to create a click track but sending that to the drummer since you'll have to sacrifice your stereo signal to use one audio channel to send him a "click" track and listen your sequence in MONO.
It will always be better to send him a whole MIX.
If you're using a computer onstage, allow him to trigger the sequences and open for him a metronome into the sequencer so he can follow up the numbers instead of an audible click.

You can get sound cards with more outputs and inputs but they can get pricey...We have found over the years that using a true stereo mix is pointless unless your playing a huge area..Your front speakers will probably never be far apart enough for anyone to hear the stereo affect..Sending the left signal to the drummer and the right to the fronts is very efficient..And if the drummer needs more in his mix, pan some of the music over to the left a little....
