IVE GOT A MSN COMMUNITY BUT WITH A DOMAIN NAME
SO IF YOU WANNA CHECK IT OUT......
THERE ARE 3 WAYS TO GET THERE.....BUT THEY WILL ALL leAD YOU TO THE SAME SITE

http://groups.msn.com/axemaniandevilsaxefiles
http://devoted.to/axeman
www.axemaniandevil.tk
and thats also the reason why im here....i want to put music on my homerpage...and sofar the only song ive got posted is the song of the last unicorn

I got ...3 websites 2 with domains on the one hosting package

Elementaluk.NET (http://www.elementaluk.net)
and
Music For Ya (http://www.musicforya.com)
i got a ****e webmaster site that i rarely update, i was gonna try build a network...but it didn't work out that well :P

Oh yea people with websites here's a tip:
dl a free web template and edit it because

1.editing is easyer than creating
2.saves ALOT of time
3.it'll always look better than any temp you can come up with

;) might help someone....oh yea btw yea i make all my logos though and all the other images(apart from ecards), pages(shtml), most PHP and some Perl

§ereña tends to come up with pretty good topics.

Anyways, I'm thinking of registering for a domain. I've got more webspace than I could use, IT'S UNLIMITED. Heck for $5 per month with unlimited bandwidth, and ftp access, that's a steal, compared to many major webpage hosts which offer less for the same price.

Using templates from major programs like Frontpage is a great way to start. I find editing a webpage over and over creates a cluttered look so I tend to redo the design a bit to accommodate major additions or even smaller ones, they tend to make the page look nicer and easier to navagate. Buy an HTML book they come in handy if you forget the markup language of what you want to do.

I know html markup language quite well so feel free to PM me.

I'm webmaster of 2 sites, 1 the company I work for and the other my church (which is still under construction). I want to start a design company, so if all goes well I'll hire myself soon soon :) coz currently I've just got a geocities page.

Its my bands site that I started for a grade in web design class. I am going to change some things around but with the same general idea! I need to get some more pictures of my band and edit our song list. Its pretty cool being able to do these things on the pc. I hope to have another site up for Tab, Midi and Mp3's with some kickass links to music sites...

lol frontpage...you gotta be kidin.

i used frontpage in college and its gotta be the worst html editor of all time, the one i used (dont know if all versions have this) had drag & drop and thats definitly not the way to learn how to code html, even though it gives you the option to write html yourself its coding colours are buckled and really crap and everyone knows Coffeecup is the best...why didn't someone recommend it to that dude? its the most downloaded html editor on the net and trully the best...well that or firstpage is no bad.

oh yea incase someone is wondering (from my last post on this topic) yea i can write HTML from scratch and PHP, i know both languages very well but i like Php better cause i ain't got no design skills :P.

oh yea you can get coffeecup @...coffeecup.com duh!

I work on lots, I own a few. Some large and successful. Others small, more personal, but still just as satisfying.

I prefer nothing better than notepad (and occasionally Evrsoft's 1st Page 2000) as coding by hand is immensely more pleasurable than using a wysiwyg edirot like dreamweaver (that's not to say it's no good of course).

As for coding, I find that (x)html and css generally do the job, but I've started into the realms of php recently and am beginning to wonder how I managed without it :)

If you're new to it all I really recommend searching around for a good book rather than learning from the web. It somehow makes the job of learning much easier. The web's better used for searching for the solution to the problems that you'll encounter when trying to script something.

I'm actually working on a messageboard at the moment for sequencers and home-studio people. It's pretty much designed for original works, and will ahve a section for cooperative sequencing (which is something I've suggested here before).
I'm using Ikonboard (because I'm too cheap to buy vB - which might change if I get sick of wrestling with IKB)

The host I'm using offers 2GB space and unlimited bandwidth (good because it will allow members to share originals in mp3 format), php/cgi, mySQL ,etc... Good host for 20USD per year ;)

I'll let everyone know when it's all running to ya can look at it.

As far as software - I've used Macromedia Dreamweaver for awhile - it's easy to use and can get you a good-looking site in a short amount of time.

I used to (ages ago) have a personal site on geocities/angelfire/etc...
But I gave geocities the middle finger when they took away ftp access from free accounts (plus I thought the ads were a little extreme), and angelfire plasters their logo/ads all over everything - never could stand that... But, If you want ad-free, ftp and all the goodies, you're not going to get it free from too many places anymore.

I will post my personal site soon, but it's not online right now and I'm not feeling like putting it back up today. I have more than one site, but there all offline right now. I have a couple, but my frends or someone else hosts it... I don't have a domain but I'm not exactly hosted at a "free" server. :) I make some sites and geocities and yeah but those aren't my main ones.

http://kuria.lax-girl.org/ Personal Site
http://unbreakable.lax-girl.org/ Content site

and I do have a couple more... but some are fanlistings, so yeah. For my friends. Actually I only have one of those, and the rest, the domain expired so whatever. :)

Yup :) Its a nationally recognized US History Resource Site - heres a brief description.

I currently have complied over 10+ pages worth of notes, vocabulary, outlines etc. Some of the key features of this site are listed below.

Site Search – Easy-to-use internal search engine to find any term on the site within seconds.

Vocabulary - This is the spot to go for common vocabulary terms for Bailey's American Pageant. There will be terms for almost every chapter, if not every chapter.

Outlines - This is the place where you would find chapter specific outlines for the chapters in American Pageant. There should be outlines for almost every chapter, if not every chapter.

Unit Notes - This is the place where you find notes on a time period as a whole. These are good when studying for multiple chapter tests, or when just trying to review a time period as a whole.

Political Parties - This is the place to learn all about the political parties throughout American History

Political Timelines – Timeline of important political events.

Timelines - This is the place to learn about specific dates and time periods.

Court Cases - Important Court Cases Throughout the US History

Biographies - This is the place to learn all about the key figures from American History

Forum - This is the place to talk about AP US Topics with people from around the nation, as well as your classroom.

Chat Room - This is the place to talk in real-time with classmates about group projects or quiz each other to study for tests.

All of this can be found on my server located at http://www.course-notes.org/

I apply to two of those catagories. I have one (michaeldiamore.freeservers.com) that is completed, and I have another one (thediamorecomplex.bravehost.com) that I am currently building. Not to spam, but if anyone is thinking about starting their own website, Bravenet is a great choice! Also, if you register through my site, I get $1 for each new member that signs up and remains active for a month. And hey, they only pay me every $50, and if i reach $50, maybe i'll donate some here, and then donate some of the MB i get to you who signed up. But you know, enough chain of command garbage ... KEEP ROCKIN THOSE WEBSPACES!!!
