im just asking if anyone could shorten the Hero (from spiderman) midi to just the chorus so i can use it as my start up theme...??

Also if anyone else has ANY sort of desktop theme suggestions, i would be happy to listen........

(i have this obsession of changing my whole computer theme every month or so :wiggle: *lol*)

Look (under software) for Cakewalk Pro (highest version you can find)
That is a good all-around app, easy-to-use and in fact was what I used to shorten Hero. It is a large download - it might take you a few days on dialup...

Otherwise, check out the sequencing and setup forum - there have been some good discussions about different sequencing sotware apps there :D

yeah, i'd say thats about right. infact, having just got done working on getting a computer that is like serena's working, i'd give her computer a 40 out of possible 10 (no offence serena :) )

but then again, this is coming from the person who up untill just before windows 98 second eddition came out...was still useing windows 3.11 and running the net on a 14.4BPS modem on a 486DX2 99Mhz with 8MB RAM and 720MB HDD...and AOL still worked...i forgot to mention the 2x CDROM, with 12" monitor and 256 colour dotmatrix printer (which we incidentally still have connected up to my dads puter. its like 7 yrs old now!)

i know this may be too late on helping you shorten midi's, but a good program is called anvilstudio......and you can obtain if from www.anvilstudio.com hope this helps and that im not too late

i got my 1ghz when AMD just released it, yes it was very expensive. I also got the fastest burner on the market which was also not released long ago a Yamaha 16X10X40X. Hdd was fairly new on the market too but it was a 46 gb one. Sound card is fromy my 133mhz computer, still works wonders after so long. Vid card was also new on the market, nvidia Geforce 256. I also got a 12X40X dvd drive, and a v90 modem. I have 256MB of RAM. I had got another 46GB hdd, another 256MB of RAM, a 80mm blue lighted fan, a 120mm fan (replacing the original 80mm fan, but the hole for it is still 80mm, i still haven't had the time to get my case cut). Blue light, Network interface card, new power supply ( no mine didn't die on me, this on is just plain better). changed the CPU heatsink and fan, this one does 8000rpm compared to the one that came with my cpu which does 3000rpm, heat sink is copper with copper heat pipes (works wonders i saw a 20C drop of temp and never passes 45C now, used to go up to 65C on hot days)).

I need a new computer, I'm planning to get a a 2.8 ghz P4 ( too bad the only motherboards out there use the intel chipset, can't wait for a VIA chipset to support the 2.8) (keeping the hdds i have currently), new case (proably going to be a server type case or a alumnium case, modded of course) Maybe invest money in water cooling, get a 18" or larger flat panel monitor, sound card would be audigy plat. 5.1, no modem just a NIC.

actually advancedflea if your vid card is on board it has a fixed amount of video mem which is ussually 32mb or 64mb
vram (video memory) is different from ram (just plain memory)
oh 16mb on board vid cards are out there too but 32s are more prevalent

i wear glasses all the time. I think the way people think of glasses are changing because a few years ago many children thought that if someone wore glasses because they were very intelligent, nowadays they know that people where glasses because they need it.

im using Imation neon colored CD-R.......and Goldtech CD-RW

Imation is ok but don't know about colored cdrs though but the best for backing is silver, note some cdr manufactures add a greenish tint to these, i managed to get some generic ones that are truly silver, gold and black are the best colors because the lack of interference of light. Make sure you also have a good burner that blocks out light properly.
