Well, No, I don't live in the UK at the moment, but I come from there originally and I still retain a UK address.......so I have applied for a copy of all that good stuff..... don't tell Microsoft the full details huh?

It seems genuine enough.

Early indications that they are full versions (ie fully featured) but are evaluation copies with built-in expiry times ranging from three months to six months (of course, you can always fiddle with your PC clock, as I do frequently).

Well, at least I can try them out before I go to the local pirate software shop and buy a pirate copy for a couple of bucks (don't like doing this... you never know what some hacker has added to the CD).

Well, I just heard that a bunch of CD's has arrived at my UK address, from Microsoft....

Aha!. It's genuine. So they have been dispatched to me (with only a slight delay to give my brother a chance to copy them... who said that.... it s a damn lie!).

More info later when I get me 'ands on them.

Yeah - it's genuine! I've ordered a couple of trials in the past - including a trial of windows xp. But beware - the windows xp trial I got was the rc2, not the final release :(. But, I have had no problems with the trials of project 2000, office xp, visio 2002, mappoint 2002 e.t.c.

I really should apply for a trial of win2k advanced server. The sad fact is that with an adsl line it is quicker to download the pirated versions than wait for the trials - why won't ms put trial software on their website... ??
