logic audio 4.7 inputs won't register

I have a problem with logic audio v4.7. I got v3.5 with my sound card. An 8 input patch bay also came with the card. Trouble is, v4.7 will only recognize inputs 1 and 2, which means I can't loop input 7 or 8 to record midi on the fly(back into the computer via spdif). Version 3.5 shows them, cubase shows them, v4.7 logic won't. anyone got any ideas, would appreciate it, v4.7 much better, great plugins.

isis, from guillemot. great card, but annoying having to record in the old proggy, then transfer to v4.7. I use midi a lot, and loop the patch box which has 8 inputs. The s/pdif in-out is looped with a 'laser' cable, recording straight back into input 7 or 8 in the logic program 3.6, but the 4.7 version only shows 2 inputs, not 8.

ummm......there is an issues with this i remember reading somewhere(I am a Guilemot disti)...
