I liked "NoteWorthy Composer" very much. However, it saves the notes slightly differently than shows them on the screen.

Stick with cakewalk 9.03 (preferable) or sonar XL (also known as cakwalk 10)

It is the best choice to use and is available with many plug-ins to enhance your experience...

I use cakewalk 9.03. It's very powerful in midi sequencing and very easy to use. I've been using cakewalk for 5 years now (since v4.5) and I like it....

Logic 5.3 is The most comprehensive midi editor available.

No doubt about it!!

Anvil Studio is a free Midi editor..
Cakewalk is not bad..
Cubase is probably the best.. SteinBerg/Propellerheads software.. they have a lot of good editors.. even stuff for mixing/dj/beat-box stuff.

sonar 2.0 xl is simply amazing for midi/pro audio! It is expensive but, you certainly get what you pay for!

It comes with a virtual sound canvas (software synth) built in! It dont sound too bad for you guys who dont have good sounfonts or modules.

Same old story! Cutting a midi can be done in many programs! I like Cubase most because that's what I used first.

I tried a lot of them,
You can get Anvil Studio for free from
the net, its very unstable, i dont like it

Now I use cubase, Its very-very-good,
but its a bit expensive and there is
no warez version on the net.

I have one version of what you want free but if you want to have this I have to send it by msn and if you are not on high speed it will be very long to transfer..

Sonar would be my pick as well... These VSTi's and DXi's are simply UNREAL!! Great alternatives to buying MANY THOUSANDS of dollars in synths...

Cubase would be a close second for me..

i personally use Cakewalk Home Studio 2002. Works pretty well, and is pretty comprehensive as well.
