I use micrologic Av 2.0. I think its pretty old but seems to do the trick. Wouldn't mind getting platinum, anyone know where I can get it for free?

usually peeps say logic is better than cubase when cuabse was at version 5. Not so sure now with sx. Its mostly down to what your used to using.
Try both for a few weeks each and see which you prefer!

I had a look at cubase version 5, but they changed it tooo much for my liking, so i stick to vst. logic seems to have it sorted out pretty well though, but as dash says, try it, find the one you like, then stick at it

CUBASE VST 32 IS WHAT I FIND THE BEST PLATFORM FOR MYSELF TO WORK ON . THE AUDIO SIDE IS VERY GOOD , AND IT HAS A LOT OF SHORTCUTS . IT DOES CRASH , BUT ITS A RARE OCCURENCE ....

I use both Logic 5.3 and SX, they both have different strenths and weaknesses! I do all midi work with Logic and record into SX,
the true tape plug is really good!

What do you think of sx compared to logic (just from the point of view of logic's working practices compared to sx) Was going to swop to sx from logic (pc user!) just to future proof myself.
Used to use cubase, but found logic much better than cubase 5 (for midi....just what i've got used to!).
Had a tinker with sx.......it seems that its still got most of the working methods of the old cubase.
But, with sx is it really now only the case of which ever you prefer, or does logic still have a better sound, plugins, midi timing, etc.?

...just read John Williams scores all his music on the piano and by hand! Great if your in his position and have his talent, but end of the day its whatever works for you!

logic platinum is good for sequencing sliding bass parts. The hyperdraw allows you to do pitchbends in a graph(easy). Can you do that in cubase? or how do you sequence pitchbends in cubase?

In cubase, you can do the same, i.e. drawing a curve over the notes for the pitch bend in the "Edit" mode.
