I have a hard time connecting

Hi all of you,

I recently downloaded and installed Kazaa lite 2.1.0 ( k++
version)

When I start the app, I get connected. But...

1. The app says I'm not sharing any file while I'm sharing literally
all of my drives! After a long time it says I'm sharing 8016 files
or something like that!

2. Secondly, more irritatingly, when I try to download something
after searching for it manually, it keeps saying 'connecting' in
the traffic window and finally says 'more sources needed'
even when my search results show that more than 25 users
have been found!

Sad, but true...

This is the pathetic condition I'm in!

I would be ever grateful to anybody who could help me out!

install it using the instructions, i had no problems with mine

I'm not sure about #2, but on #1 it's probably taking so long because you are sharing out so many files (all of your drives). Try narrowing down the directories you share to just your midi directories so it doesn't have to count every file on your drives every time the program starts.

What kind of connection are you on? I know on my campus certain ports are blocked or restricted to prevent those type of programs from eating up all the bandwidth.

mc is correct on limiting to certain folders on your computer though. It takes a long time to populate a list of 8k files.

I tried sharing less and yes it works faster

Also I figured that my ISP has blocked a good number of ports and thats the reason for my "ever - connecting" status in Kazaa Lite

No Kazaa Lite anymore...

But I'm into mIRC now and I'm satisfied with it
