response to midifile playing problem. you no doubt have a sound card. are the drivers installed correctly? if it's 'plug and play', maybe take it out and put it in again. if it's an old card, the midi function may have craked up, happened to me with 2 different cards, audio worked, not midi. do you have the media player playing the midifiles? does the player come up when you double click on a file?
