do any of you guys and gals rate posts? I rate a post if i like what it says, but haven't come accross any posts that have already been rated. is there some sort of recognition(or money) if a post receives more than a certain number of ratings?

It is rare for people around here to rate posts - - once in awhile you'll see them.
I would like to see more posts and threads rated. There are no official cash prizes, but there is a certain Super Mod that has been known to surprise people on many occasions with cash donations for the strangest reasons.
This could include members who start high-rated threads or make high-rated posts. But, until people start rating more - I'll save my MB$ for that Bahama getaway cruise ;)

I rate threads, based on the fun factor or the originality of the post. The number of responses is sometimes a good indicator !

I've tried to get poeple to rate a post by asking them, and it works most of the time you'ill see a few more rating.
Make the button more in your face!
or a check box along with the reply!!!!!!!!!!!!
