Just wondering where all you guitarists were playing...What is the largest crowd you have played in front of???
I played an open air concert for about 3000 people..It was great. I would love , just once, to play a huge venue..Like 60,000 plus would be excellent...

The biggest I've played is 3000 at a (believe it or not) open air Blue light disco on the waterfront. Those kids knew how to party.

Seriously though. Played at a local fireworks display once. Had about 3500 at it. Big gig for a bunch of under-talented 16 year-olds.
As for the largest audience base. I'm in a drama group and we did Oklahoma 2 years back. I played the part of Will Parker. We put through 7,500 people over a three week run.

Supported Goanna Band and Aussie Crawl many years ago in an outdoor concert... it just pi**ed down all night and blew up the generator. Promoters had to give the money back to everyone. Big crowd, dunno how many but...

The largest audience I played in front of was about 50, but they had all come to see us, and the atmosphere was great. I think that's way more important than how many people you play for.........But 60,000 would be cool too!

played to a huge crowd supporting noiseworks in the 90's in mackay, got no idea how many people were there, and 2 gigs at festival hall in brisbane, packed house, i think it holds around 6000 to 7000 people. those were the days.

Great thread thread ppl . Glad to see everyone getting out there and playing. My biggest gig was an outdoor festival at Mt Cheam , just outside Vancouver. I dont know how many ppl showed but it was a sea of sunburns. It was too short for my liking, seems we just got started and the next band was waiting to go on. Not my most memorable outing, but another feather in the cap. My favorite gig was playing the town pump opening for Roy Rogers (the Slide playr, not the cowboy) and in walks Amos Garrett to smooze backstage. Very entertaining.
