I have a Korg m1 hooked up to the joystick port of my computer but something's gone awry. I can't get it to play in Fruityloops, my sysex library thing doesn't seem to work, I can't get it to do anything!

I downloaded a Korg driver but it wasn't actually meant for the m1, and it couldn't detect any midi device. I downloaded a yamaha universal midi driver but on installation it couldn't seem to find my m1 either. It should work with the MPU driver I had.

Signs point to bad cable but it is brand new and I have ins going into outs. Is there a way I can test for sure whether or not it's the cable.

Plus I checked that the midi things on my keyboard are enabled.

Please help thanks 1.7billion.

There are some older Midi-Joystick adapter cables that have different (wrong) pinout. I had the same problem and it was only this adapter between the midid cable and the Joystick port.

Thanks for the help man, I'll check it out. Is there any way I can check the pinout? I mean, I guess I'll just take it back to the shop otherwise. Cheers buddy.
