hey I am new here, and I was wanting to know how you can get an avatar, I know how to get one but there is no box to put it in on the edit profile link, I noticed a signature box but not an avatar box, can someone help me pelase

Look in the 'User Control Panel / Edit Options' ... I think you will find your options there

Wowzee willow. 35 already and avatar-eligible! I think you like it here :) NetGirl is right on the money... if you're gonna stick around you had better read those FAQ's... I bookmarked 'em so I could refer when I was newbie.... but I'm kinda wierd that way... ;)
