The name of the song that belongs to the above lyrics is really, "The Electric Boogie," recorded by Marcia Griffiths, released in 1976, and re-relased in 1989 when the Electric Slide became a dance craze. Because the line in the song says, "I'll teach you the electric slide," people started calling the dance, The Electric Slide. There is, however, a song from late 1989 that really IS named, "The Electric Slide." It's by Grandmaster Slice & Izzy Chill, and people do the same dance to it that they do to "The Electric Boogie." The words are very cool and so is the song. Very fun and funky. I have those lyrics if anyone wants them. :)
