Pull the Cain that locks into the thingy that pulls the door up then slide the door up by hand.

Hey - thanks for the advice..... but I don't have an opener... its the spring and pully system that went kablooey......... gears on the floor, general pandemonium! Worry not, "new garage door with opener" was already on the list for this summer ;)

Your online and you can't entertain yourself?? I don't know why but I find that funny.

*wonders what sort of entertainment might assuage your mood*
*smiles provocatively*
*wonders about the origins of the word "proctor"*
Poor Jeanie's been roped into being a proctor,
watching some kids fill in blanks.
Now I'm just supposing she might need a doctor,
to fill up those sensual tanks.
It's too bad we cannot just safely assume,
the brats wouldn't contemplate cheating.
Then blithely we could but retreat to a room,
and simmer our passion to heating. ;)

Yeah! :-p
Coolness. ;)
Middle English always reminds me of Whan that Aprille...
Did you do the Chaucer thing?

Heh... somehow I blazed through high school and college English without retaining damned thing ;) (Literaturally speaking).... I'm sure I did.... but would love to take the opportunity to be enlightened by you once again :)

Well, I could paste you a link (in fact I will in a bit), but it goes something like this:
Whan that Aprille withe his shoures soöte
the droghte of Marche hath perced to the roöte,
And bathed every veyne in swich licour,
of which vertu engendred is the flour;
Whan Zephirus eek with his swete breeth
Inspired hath in every holt and heeth,
The tendre croppes, and the yonge sonne
hath in the Ram his halfe-cours y-ronne,
And smale fowles maken melodyë,
That slepen all the nicht with open yë
(So priketh hem nature in hir corages):
Than longen folk to goon on pilgrimages
(And palmers for to seken straunge strondes)
To ferne halwes, couthe in sondry londes;
And specially, from every shires ende
Of Engelond, to Caunterbury they wende,
The holy blisful martir for to seke,
That hem hath holpen, whan that they were seke.
It's very nice to hear read, as the ME pronounciation is quite melodic... :)

I'm not sure how west-coast neutral with a Texas flavor might lend itself to Middle English recital, but I'll be glad to give it a go... ;)

Sorry, boss called for a minute.
Here ya go. It sounds a lot better through a real synth, but the Microsoft Wavetable Synth is okay, if barely decent. :)
It kinda fun if you've got the VanBasco player, as you can sing along with Fred. :) (Especially if you can manage that flat southern drawl with a hint of homo that he uses) ;)

Hey Jeanie,
Sorry I wasn't able to help in the relief of your boredom. Occasionally work gets in the way of my online status in that sometimes I have to go there! ;)

It's 8:20AM..... I have bout another hour of trying to sit still and be quiet..... I just wasn't meant to sit still or be quiet!
To answer Elven's "how can you be online and be bored?" When I'm online at home I'm most often watching television and cooking dinner WHILE browsing MB.... JUST being online doesn't do it for me.... (and the notable lack of aural stimulation is the biggest issue)
