i think that a vocalist should be backed by a prper band and not backing tracks

there are plenty of artists whose only instrument is their vocal cords.

the voice is a very, if not the most powerful instrument and artist can play.

well......kylie vs dannii - I seen them both live....kylie just stood there and did all her commercial crap with a keyboard and drummer.....danced a bit.
dannii.....had an entire live band, did songs she hasn't released in mainstream and one by one picked up every instrument in the band and played it. She rocked and I have to say - 20 times better live.
