Mac or PC?

Which computer should I use and what proggie?

(<) Windows XP, Athlon XP 2100+, Fortissimo 2.

(<) Mac OS X, G3 300Mhz, the personallity card

Personally, i would go the PC over the Mac anyday. :P
....and a good program to use is cakewalk. It does everything you need it to do, and it's not too difficult to operate, once you get the hang of it.

I use a pc with cubase also, but check if xp will function properly with a sound card for programming, i heard it was more of a business program:)

Hey Merlin,
There are two XPs out there, Pro and Home. I've had no probs with Cakewalk or JAZZ (the free) MIDI Sequencer on both formats; I don't about Cubase and XP, but Cubase sure is a nice program.

Do you already own both machines? The Mac would actually do a great job as well. There are prenty of pro and free/shareware proggies out there for both platforms.

If you want to drive an external multi-timbral device, you'll also be looking for a MIDI (perhaps USB) port. :thumbsup:

I use a PC with Cubase. Can't fault it.

Friends use Mac. but I prefer my PC....

I have had many conversations with MAC owners who swear by them - after having struggled with PCs for years, they have gone and gotten a MAC and are stupified at the difference (for better).
I have almost no experience with a MAC, but that OS does have several pluses when it comes to graphics, Music and security.

Before too long, I'm going to start seriously looking at what my new system is going to be - it might be a MAC, it might not...

PC will always be mainstream, thats right all you MAC hopefuls... therefore everything is made to suit...
