We all do stupid things when we are in 'love'. Things that sometimes make us cringe in later years or in hindsight.

Have you done anything.... eauky?..

Love is....... actually liking and wearing the matching pyjamas that your wife bought you for your first wedding anniversary (especially when they feature teddy bears and hearts).

It's so sweet I feel like puking.

Love is the warmest and greatest feeling of all. Love is flexiable, it's able to wrap around people at different intensities but the one closest to your heart will recieve the most. Love is when nothing else matters and you will do anything for that person, even if they don't want you in their life. Love needs to attained and maintained thru giving and recieveing. You have to work hard for it.

Geeez that was deep really deep. Sometimes I surprise myself when I write down or type something very intelligent. :D

Key that is so true and very profound. I don't think anyone really knows what love is and much less how to define it. I don't know much about love but I know you're right about love hurting. I was in love once..am still in love with the guy deep down inside...but it's not a happy feeling.He feels nothing for me, he doesn't even dislike me... just nothing. I don't know why I feel the way I do. If it makes any sense, I don't even like him as a person but somehow I'm in love with him. I don't expect anyone to understand that, I don't even!

actually i think we've all felt that way once or maybe even twice before and understand all too well. if anything, that's the single one constant about love- almost everyone seems to have experienced it to some measure, yet not a single person has managed to put it into words.

Mmm hmm. Perhaps you misunderstood me. I think you'll see what I mean in time. A man who is capable of sensitivity generally beats the socks off a "tough" guy any time. Also, it is a HUGE flaw to never feel the need to say you're sorry. As soon as a woman discovers that about a man, he can expect dumpage shortly thereafter (rightfully so, IMO). Nothing personal.

That may seem sad, but boiling it down, you can see that if the jock was picked for appearances, there's not much basis for lasting emotion. And in fact, not being picked in this way, the nice guy is coming out ahead. He's got a better chance at a relationship that might work. :)

i'm not saying solely based on looks, they just know how to play the game better. the stereotypes against jocks isn't totally accurate, but the image for nice guys is perfect. they just don't know how to treat women, they worship them.

Anyway, I don't mean to pick apart your responses. There's some validity to that point of view, of course. A guy should not be a pushover either, a strong sense of self and personal integrity is a great benefit. He should just make sure that those things are chosen for the right reasons.

BTW, loved your earlier post about love being the depth of your sadness. A lot of truth in that, I've found. It demonstrates a wisdom beyond your years :).
