Each midifile consists of several 'tracks'. Usually each track contains a different instrument. You can select the instrument for each track or edit an existing midi by changing the instrument if you don't like it. You can also change keys, volumes, tempos etc......play around with the program, get a book on sequencing for beginners or use the help files which come with the program.

If you need to covert a WAV to MIDI, you might want to try Akoff Composer (there is a demo version available at Akoff's website). I tried the demos (can't save files) for Akoff Composer, WIDI, Intelliscore and Digital Ear (whew!). Composer gave me the most recognizable (but far from perfect) results. Mind you, you'll still need a MIDI editor, or if you have a background in music and not tech stuff, you can use something like Finale Notepad Plus to see the MIDI as Sheet music, and it will be easier to spot/hear the "wrong" notes. I have no clue how to use a MIDI editor, so this is the route that I use. Hope it helps!

Personally I use Cakewalk Home Studio 2002. I started to use it two days ago, and it's the first time that I use MIDI (I had not knowledge at all before), and it was really easy to use. Intutitive.

Know I'm having problems with the configuration of my Electric Piano and the different channels, but I thing I will solve them.

Greetings!
