I want to write music for small church combos...rhythm section, lotsa
horns, some strings and such. I want to use a keyboard for input and
want some software that can then print out individual parts for the
players. Can someone out there point me in the right direction? I have
a screaming PC (not a Mac). What software should I opt for? Thanks in
advance...SSZ

You might want to have a look at Coda Finale http://www.finalemusic.com/
or a less expensive program called Mozart, http://www.mozart.co.uk/

For a top sequencer with pretty good score printing, Cubase.

For a top score layout program with pretty good midi playback, Finale
or Sibelius.

Steve,
I use a small program called noteworthy composer. As someone without a lot
of musical training, I find it's easy to use, and does the job quite nicely
when coming to putting in songs for practice.
