In the Soundblaster sound card there is an option called "What you hear".
When I play my external keybord through Cubase software,I hear the sounds
from that keyboard. The internal synth from the souncart is disabled that
moment. But it seems to be impossible to convert the sounds that "I hear"to
WAV.What I get is the sound of the internal MIDI banks.!I have to record my
song on a tape, then send it back and record it as a .WAV file.
But isn't there another way?I can't imagine I do it correctly...it works
though...

Okay, so you have Keyboard sending MIDI to Cubase and Cubase sending MIDI
to your soundcard. Cubase, at this point, has produced no audio signal.

MSWindows includes a "recorder" application - have you tried that?

I don't really know what you mean here. You record the soundcard's
output and you get the sound the soundcard produced? Something else?

I don't know Cubase but if you can get MS Windows' recorder working, it
may be possible for Cubase to record and playback at the same time. But
maybe it isn't?

Yes, arm a stereo audio track and play the midi, it will record the midi
output of the soundcard as audio.

And as always: if you want to be a bit more involved and create better
sounding music - use SoundFonts. If you don't have a SoundFont
compatible soundcard (like SoundBlaster Live or Audigy) use my free
MIDI-to-WAV converter SynthFont, which you find at www.synthfont.com. I
also have lots of links to sites where you can download free soundfonts.
