Mad props to whoever's idea it was to make new users post 5 messages before allowing them to download music. When I first found out that I had to write 5 stupid messages before I could download the midi I wanted I was so pissed. But I've discovered so many cool things in going through the boards that i'm soooo glad that it was a requirement. I totally would have just downloaded the MIDI I wanted and never returned. And I would have missed out on a whole lot of cool discussions and information. It would have been a tragedy.
Thank you sooo much for being a pain in my ass.

way to go, gabeisgeggy , I was the same when I started, as well as a lot of others. unfortunately, some still like to post 5 then download, and nothing else. remember to report to a moderator or post a message saying the word traaaaashpost if you are suspicious, and the mods will take care of the rest :thumbsup:

I remember coming here for the first time...Looking for midi's...I thought oh no, another site that wantsa me to sign up and then hit me with a million ads..Well, I'm still here and the site is still excellent.:)

Yeah I am totally with you guys. I mean, I hated the five post rule at firast, but now I am trying to get 100 posts under my belt. Cool Huh? Oh yeah, what is defined as a trash post?

I don't know, spoofer, It says by your name that you've only got 3 posts. Don't know what might be going on with that. By the way, I was looking this board over, and saw that the post where I ask about the "trash post", there were extra "a"s. I went in and edited it, not wanting to look like an idiot, back to a single "a". Then I realized that you probably do a search for "tr*shposts" to find where they are, and this particular one doesn't refer to one. So you added the A's in order for it to not show up. Very clever. hehe.

I think spoofer may have had a coupla traashpoosts and they got deleted, thats why his post count dropped back

yup, same here. just visited the site last week when i was looking for midi's to use as a ringtone for my phone.
i was a bit irritated that i need to post 5 messages first before i got to download the midi. but as i read thru the messages and browsed the site i found a lot of interesting discussions and fun stuff to do in the site.
now i can't let a day pass without vising this site.
thanks sooo much. this is really fun.

I dont think you should scrap the 5 post rule, it definately has made me want to come back whereas i would have just downloaded the file i was looking for and left !! wicked forum !
