No I don't but I am looking for loops as I'm a composer that finds it extremely hard to compose interesting drum patterns do you know where I can find any?

Do either of you use Cakewalk?
If so, there is a "session drummer" that I've used on occasion to give me a start with the percussion.

Occasionally, I use fruityloops to do some loops. It can be quite useful as it incorporates with MIDI and can be controlled with a keyboard.

I've been using Acid Pro lately- that's been a lot of fun- this makes me wonder where I can find more loops for that

Frootyloops!!
I had forgotton all about it - Nice app., I've used it several times.
Thanks for the reminder!

jeffidetour - I've come across a few sites that appear to be selling loops on CD. But if that's the case - I would imagine there HAS to be somewhere you can get them for free. Like KaZaa for example.

I make my own loops just with a sequenser (logic) and a lot of instruments (piano , synth, guitar)

maybe it's an idea to share these audio loops..

great for practicing guitar solo's for example

Per Paradox.nfo ;)
FruityLoops is the number one loop creating software tool at
the moment. Started as a drumloop creator it evolved to a
complete loop and song creating package that might even
replace your sequencer.

FruityLoops can hold an unlimited number of samples and
channels and play those stand- alone or by triggering you midi
equipment.

Main Features:

-integrated BeatSlicer !
-live wheel recording of ALL wheels !
-16Bit 44KHz stereo output (CD quality)
-external midi control
-unlimited number of channels (not just 8)
-from 4 to 64 notes per pattern
-integrated TS-404 bassline
-support for 8 (VST&DX) FX tracks
-export to wav, mp3, MIDI file or clipboard
-uses both MIDI and DirectSound
-integrated samplebrowser
-individual panning, volume, pitch, mix, ...
-piano keyboard
-cool effects to alter the samples
-playlist allowing to mix several patterns
-nice layout (with moveable toolbars)
-skin support

It is not too terribly hard to find - if you have a good p2p client (I've seen it available on several different ones I use) you'll be able to download it.

fruity loops and acid will both do the job. its a matter of preference.

i make my own loops. i use reason to create a 1 or 2 bar loop. reason has its own drum machine and synth with different patches. i then down save them as a wave and sequence them in acid.

you can also go to through your old albums and cds to create your own loops. its lots of fun.

Chicargo, i must agree, after trying fruity loops it is just a matter of preference. I tend to record 4 bar loops my self. but i guess that is also a matter of prefernece. but it gives me more to play with

I use Acid Pro but would like to know how Fruity Loops compares with this. Does it make sense to own both of them?

advancedflea

You can make own loops with drum machine synchronized to SONAR. Once you capture midi, convert to mp3 and make your own groove loops.

You can also you session drummer and do same.

But best and fastest way is to buy Acid loops on CD and just start grooving!

Yeah, the fastest way to get ACID loops is to buy them, but a better way isd to search on Google, Jeeves, lycos, altavista, kazaa, bearshare, morhpeus, winMX, gnutella, opennap or anything on the web that has a search bar(exept midibuddy) and download them

*typeing with nice new "digital edge keyboard" - got sick of having to whack the christ outta old keyboard to put up a decently spelt post*
