I just got back from a weekend camping trip. Don't know exactly how long we were down (guessing at least 3 hours), but everything is back online now.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

Damn it... I was afraid of that.
The earliest message I received was on the 6th. At that point it hadn't gone completely down. Sorry again for the trouble.

it is due to the extra load of users on this board.

Part of the problem is caused by people hammering-refreshing when they get the server load error, or when a page isn't loading right away. STOP THAT! Give it a chance to have a hernia if it needs to, and it will self-resuscitate most of the time.

We are asking a lot of Apache and mySQL on this server, with the number of members and queries at any given time. Hopefully we’ll be moving to a new server sometime soon – bigger faster server means more $$$.
Donations are always appreciated http://board.midibuddy.net/paypal.php
Also, we’re in the process of putting together a Premium MIDIBuddy Membership program http://board.midibuddy.net/t53408.html
Either option will help us get onto a better server, which is what is needed to solve this little problem. Until then, we’re going to have to do the best with what we have.
