Too many requests for a chat feature later, we bring you the official MIDIBuddy IRC Channel.

Server: artzone.no-ip.info
Port: 60667
Channel Name: #midibuddy
Link for mIRC Users: irc://artzone.no-ip.org:60667/midibuddy

Same rules apply there as here for the most part.
Be decent and respectful.

For those of you who want to join in, but don't know the first thing about IRC, you have 3 options:
1. Read our brief tutorial that walks you through it step-by-step.
2. Use our custom Chat Applet page - all the fun; no headaches.
3. Do nothing at all - miss out on all the fun.

To reach the Chat Applet page use this link: http://board.midibuddy.net/chat/index.html

Just remember, filesharing using the java applet or Trillian is NOT possible.
You must use the mIRC + EZ-2-Serve package to share and download files.

Keep reading for a brief tutorial if you need it.

Attached I have a short tutorial for Trillian/Trillian Pro.
It's not all inclusive, but contains enough information to get it connected.
The server (no longer blitzed) and channel name (#midibuddy) are a little different - make sure you change them as I have not updated this tutorial ;)

It's in PDF format, so you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader (free)

TRILLIAN TUTORIAL

Here is a brief how-to for mIRC.
This isn't anywhere near all-inclusive either. It should, however, get you up and running.

mIRC TUTORIAL
I have not updated this tutorial either... You might just want to grab the preconfigured package I have below instead.

Here is a prepackaged mIRC + ez-2-serve package.

It is preconfigured to connect to the network - #midibuddy channel and had an auto-set up feature.

Just install to default location, run from desktop shortcut and type /wizard (or go to command > new user wizard > run new user wizard in the menubar).

It will walk you through nick registration and setting up file shares (midi).
http://artzone.no-ip.info/MB-IRC.v1.1.exe
Just install and type /wizard or go to Commands>New User Wizard>Run New User Wizard in the mIRC menu bar.
You will be walked through nick registrations and file sharing set up.

You can also add SSL via an OpenSSL package for Windows:
http://artzone.no-ip.info/SG-SSL_Setup_Package.rar
SSL client port is +60669
(SSL Connections are included in the server list in the EZ-2-Serve Package above.
