I'm just starting out on guitar and I really need help. I can play piano, just passed exam for final grade so at least I know the theory. Anybody who has any tips I'm all ears!...well not really...I got a nose, two eyes and a couple of other parts too ;)

barre(corrrect spellin') chords.....and learn your basic open chord structures............that's about all I can offer

Yeah, a good chord book and lot's of practice!!
Good luck, it's a long saga of sore fingers and frustration but well worth it in the end, oh and change your strings often. An average set loses most of it's life and tone after about 30 hours of playing.

Ahhh!... so it's not Bahhhh! chords:laugh: :laugh:

No seriously... the old adage: practice, practice, practice. If you have studied and passed an exam on Piano...sweeeet. Once you have finger movement on a neck (so you should already understand about stretching your hands and fingers), you should blitz it!!
