nice site man~
hey if u looking for a new host other than geocities try http://t35.com they are awesome..unlimited space and unlimited bandwith with only a few pop up ads..way less than geocities and they autominimise..
thats the host i'm using right now..
bad thing is that they have a 250kb file limit.. but its onli a MIDI site..how big can the files get?

I eventually paid for my crosswinds account but they were free for about a year or two with the same service maybe less because they just started a few months before i joined. All free accounts espically ones with unlimited space will have FTP access disabled due to warez and pop ups will increase over time. Crosswinds had a terrible down time during 9/11 I think it took them 2 months to get everything back on track and they proably had everyone to upload their site again. Crosswinds's servers were in the WTC. I've been happy with crosswinds for a while after I've redone my webpage that I've decided to pay for it.

i would pay for a domain, but, im not as rich as i was....

BTW, i changed to host...no more crappy geocities!

I like it. I'm amazed though at just how many midi sites there are out there, yet when you are looking for that one particular song, you just can't find it anywhere.

hey man

nice start it will be really clear content to find.

You might wanna change permissions on your root directory - I can browse it http://midifilez.t35.com/ or make main.html your default page. Oh and there's a couple of images missing on main.html. I can see the empty files on your root.

Looking forward to the midis - keep it going :)

I got my free website with ATT, and its ok if you know how to use html. About 10 megs of space and no other restrictions to speak of, except they request moderate decency (you can deny it). Look around for if your ISP gives you website space if you dont like pop-ups or limited space.

cool....but i think im gonna switch over to www.gizba.com
...i heard they are a decent hosting service.

You still have a lot of popups though..... try a webshost that has less popups..... i have a www.dot.tk referral and a www.dotnetplayground.com host with no ads.... but the only way to upload is through FTP...30MBs the only ads visitors to my site see is the dot.tk add...you can't get rid of that unless you pay....and really... who wants to?

Artistdude88
01-05-2003, 01:36 AM
oh well....i dont care about that site anymore.....became a real pain with hosts and crap....so, ive made a new site....not about midi's tho

Could'nt get into your site this morning mate....be careful with hosts that offer unlimited bandwidth and space....usually means that everyone is fighting for the bandwidth at once and crashes are pretty frequent.

i know....T35 was hacked so im not trusting them anymore. so a friend suggested Boomspeed. Works well for me :)

I cant believe this thread is still here! Hehe, well...I'd like to say, TRASH THOSE OTHER SITES OF MINE! I'm comming out with my final site as soon as I get it on my friends server (which will hopefully be soon). It will will contain Midis (of course!), Movies, Downloads, Flash, ALL of my Art, and much more! Better yet, since it's on my friends server, it will have no ads and stuff.

So, just as a kind of a pre-view, here's the upcoming Midi section.
(sorry, boom"speed" is the best thing i have right now, lol)
