ALright..this is what I use:...compaq presario: download free software..Crescendo:...this will allow you to listen and then capture and save midi file.you must create directory where you want your file to be stored.This will get you started..good luck !

try cubase and enter the help file for instruction

Cakewalk works pretty well .. there are heaps of software available to make midis. If you have a Midi program already you need to get a Sound recording program like Cool Edit or many others that will allow you to record the midi into wave and then save as an MP3 or whichever format you want.
