They are still together. In an interview, they called it "takin time off" instead of breaking up.

They're just exploring other aspects of the entertainment industry. Beyonce' is doing the Austin Powers movie, Kelly just guest starred on a television sitcom, and Michelle has her gospel album.

I think that Beyonce is trying to go by herself but I think they might split for awhile and then get back together

As of July 26 interview Beyonce denied that they are breaking up she says they will be recording a new album later this year

As Slim Bro Mentioned, Michelle Has a Solo Gospel Album out. I have it. It's Great.
I think Kelly's Solo will be the best of the bunch. I think Beyonce's will be too poppy and outrageous.

i think Destiny's Child will end up like the Spice Girls. Haven't all the Spice Girls gone solo but still say they are in the band? And maybe the same fate with NSync and Backstreet Boys. Justin from NSync and Nick from Backstreet Boys have solo albums on the way and i also think when they find the success with their solo albums they won't like the compromisation (is that a word? haha) of being in a band. But they they will will claim the band is sitll together so their solo sells won't suffer.
