One of the greatest drummers AND improvisors of all time. I do sort of
miss his old cymbals though i.e. Freedom Jazz Dance, Miroslav

Hi Alden,
In their cymbal set-ups at that time (while he was with Miles) the
Avedis Co. used to list it as a 20" Heavy Ping. Well, in '72 when I
found out about that, I ran down to Dahlgren's & bought one. It stunk,
and sure as hell never sounded like what Jack played the times I saw
him with Miles. It probably has a happy life today in some Duluth
cover band singing out the chorus of 'Brown-Eyed Girl'!
