Hey y'all -

I'm playing again with Afroskull this Thursday night, 8/14. The gig
is at the Parkside Lounge in NYC, 317 E. Houston St. between Ave. B
and C. Afroskull is a funk/rock band with a horn section that started
in New Orleans, influenced by Zappa, P-Funk, and Black Sabbath. We'll
be opening for trombonist Clark Gayton, who has played with the Mingus
Big Band, Sting, Prince, Stevie Wonder and many others. Show starts
at 9pm. Hope some of you shriners can make it; make sure you come up
and say hi.

peace

Funny story about this one - obviously the gig was cancelled. The
next day my guitar player checks his voicemail and there is a message
from our bass player. "Hey, it's Dan - it's 9:20 and there's a ton of
traffic going into the city, so I don't think I'm going to make it on
time. Hopefully you didn't start playing yet. What's with all this
traffic anyway? Is something happening in the city?"
