Well, he finally did it. He was married this evening about 7:30pm, short
ceremony, decent band at the reception (good for a wedding band), cash bar
(unfortunately, but I brought a flask of tequila and a flask of whiskey, so
I was good). He'll be out of town for a week or so, so he won't see any of
this until he gets back, but I thought I'd make the announcement so you can
have your quips ready when he comes back around. Of course his wife insisted
we play something (and the band was more than happy to take a beer break),
so Odin got his first taste of playing with a wedding ring on, but he didn't
seem to have too much trouble (he normally takes off all jewelry including
his watch). He's been with this woman for a long damn time, so everyone was
glad to see them finally get hitched, the scary part being that there might
be some little Odins running around soon. Watch out, because you know
they'll be armed. : )

Congrats! Last time he went on a road trip, he came back with
a bad sunburn on his legs. I don't want to know where the next
sunburn's going to be. <G>

Yeah, I personaly wouldn't try it, but you know little brother might have big
balls in Texass. The amp/gear budget just got sliced though. I don't care what
he says..............talk the tough talk, I'll check back in a couple years.

Best of luck!

He's way too vindictive for me to do anything like that, besides, he
keeps his bike locked up in his garage. Now his truck, on the other hand,
that's a different story. : )

Yeah, especially if you knew this woman. Let's just say she's a scorpio
and she's liable to hurt someone if Odin doesn't behave.

No, she's just more bull headed than he is, and I don't know who I would
put my money on if they were to have a fist fight. Seems like a pretty even
match to me.

He already sold his nice boat to get his bike, so now all he has is a
cheap little metal boat so he can still go fishing. Now, then we'll see what
happens to the boat and bike if they have kids...

Actually, I don't think that'll be a problem. She likes that he plays
out, and doesn't complain about him buying gear as long as it doesn't
interfere with her shopping budget. They've been together steady for 16
years, so I don't see a ring and a piece of paper causing a drastic change
in their relationship at this point. Now, if they were to decide to have
kids everything would change, and I know that from experience, but I don't
think they're in any hurry to have kids, they both like their toys too much.

Hey Odin, have you seen the recent innovations in new bass boat
designs?

So... you only have ONE bike?!

About time for a new band PA, no?

Forget that kid stuff. They smell. And cost a lot of money that's
needed elsewhere.

I already had enough kids for both of my brothers. I already added 3
more Matteses to the world. ; )

Incidentally, my 8 year old daughter is joining choir at school this
year, she has great relative pitch, a strong voice, and an (apparently)
overwhelming urge to sing. My evil plan is coming together, I should have a
couple backup singers who have no choice but to work for free in about 4
years (gotta give the 5 year old some time to grow into her voice).

Bringing the daughters to the titty show would be true Mattes
tradition, yes?
