RMV Drums?

[Drumbelly]

I've been seeing these kits crop up and heard they sounded good, and the
prices were more than reasonable (600-800) for shell packs. I dig some of
the finishes too. Has anyone had a chance to try these out? How do they
sound? I am looking for a cool looking cheap gigging kit without using
vintage. My main concern is sound and feel within that price range. Thanks
in advance.

Then get your wallet out Drumbelly! These kits come from Brazil.
(the source of all REALLY cheapo percussion stuff... go take
a peer at www.BrazilianPercussion.com! DIG. NO import duty on
percussion gear from Brazil! Shipping typically starts at $30 though,
which means it's a better bargain if you buy more stuff!!! :)

They are KILLER drumsets! I almost bought one myself had not the
guy who was there first been gleefully scarfing it up. They
are made out some kind of Brazilian rainforest tropical wood
and the shells are positively perfection! The sound is simply
without equal in a kit of equal price. The colors are very nice
too. Brazilian bright, but not hideous. The only downside is
that Brazilians are masters at making "instruments" out of some
bent pieces of tin can. So you'll find the lugs sort of chintzy
plastic deals and the metal is a tad less than optimum. Yeah,
shell pack is the way to go.

Yep, CPP has 'em. Yeah, they are monster sounding drums.
and they are also priced right! Also you'll find that
because of the wood they sound nothing like all the standard
kits out there which is a major plus in my book. Check 'em
out and keep your Visa handy! I predict, you'll buy!

These kits do looks pretty nice, though.

Prolly because they get a kit in and BAM it's sold!
The last one I saw there was sitting among that
row of drumsets to your right as you walk in the
door. But come to think of it I don't remember
seeing it lately. It wasn't as nice as the brightly
colored one they got first that I almost bought.
It really looked good. Sort of a rusty-orange fade.
The guy who bought it and I just kept beating on the
toms going DAMN! I think the last one they got in
was sort of non-descript black or some dark shade.
