View Full Version : Very cheap CD replication (short run)?

I'm looking for a company that can take a CDR of my music and do a
very short run (maybe a hundred) of CD copies--not CDR duplication,
but CD replication. Does anyone know of a company that'll do that for
a really cheap price? I don't need packaging or artwork from this
company, just the CDs. And I don't even need nice labels, just maybe
black text on the silver CD like they used to do more frequently in
the 1980s. This is a tiny project so I don't want to spend a lot.

I've tried search engines, but you know how web page designers do
little tricks to make theirs show up first on a search listing. I'd
respect your opinions a lot more.

Thanks!
Rob

Tough to get aroaund the cost of setting up the line to make those
really short runs.

The thousand price is almost always the same as a hundred because of
the cost of setup and glass masters. Thousand prices are running so low
these days that I wouldn't consider a small run of CD-Rs without
checking on what a thousand would cost.

Hi
Most places are 1000 minimum.I know you said you didn't want CDRs but I can
do them on diamond true silver CDs(they look pressed) with black thermal
printing on top of the CD (not a sticker). They are done on professional
duplicators and are very reliable.

100 CDs with printing and case is $275.00 Canadian (TAX FREE),$250.00
Canadian with no cases.

They charge almost as much for 500 as they do for a thousand because
of the cost of setting the line up for a new run. So 100 Cd'S Will
cost you something like 700 bucks and 1000 900 bucks. So if you were
going to get pressed CD's than you should get any less than 500.

What is really cheap? You'll basically be paying for a run of a thousand,
and then throwing away the rest. Call Europadisc, Oasis, and the like, and
see what they say. You should be able to get the run done for under a
thousand bucks if you're supplying a red book master, don't want labels,
and can take discs on spindle.

I really appreciate everyone who responded to my question.

You know, I could have sworn that I saw somebody advertise that they
could do a short 100 CD run for $75 USD. They claimed they were
regular CDs, but maybe they were trying to pass off silver CDRs as
"regular."

Or maybe I am just really, really insane.

Oh well.

But thanks,
Rob

Hi Rob,

didn't see your earlier post. We do short run dupes w/full-color printing.
Definitely more expensive than $0.75/CD though. The cheapest I can offer you
is $1.50/CD.

If you're interested, email me direct at Winter@EMBStudios.com or call me at
510-325-1029.

Good luck,
