The first thing I hear are the drums. They jump hard AWAY from me,
sounding like they were recorded from the next room.

I'm not qualified to review this song; I'm not into this style. I do feel,
however, that there's plenty of room for upgraded tracks. Everything
sounds slightly distorted and torn apart. The sum is one of chaos.

About 2:18 the levels jump and what little clarity there was is trashed.

That's intentional, actually. As a kid, Motown stuff always sounded
like it was happening in another room, which made it seem wonderfully
mysterious to me. Still does. Anyhow, I try to recreate that vibe (not
to compare myself to Motown product).
