Of course I have googled it, I was asking this group. IS this some terrible
thing to ask opinions?

Or have I already run into the generic group wiseass?

Try this.

No, that would be found under:

Google+Search

Sorry, I jumped the gun....I thought you were just sarcastically telling me
to google the mic on the web not the group.

Usenet can sometimes make one high strung.

Just trying to help. I wasn't sure if you were aware of google since I
didn't recognize your email. I am far from the generic group wise ass
however there are others who wear that hat well. Hopefully you won't
run into them.

Thanks that was helpful sorry if I misinterpreted ...i should have googled
the group too. Earlier I had seen someone yelling at someone, somewhere
telling them to google. I tried to cancel that message right after i sent
it but it got out there quickly and still hasn't gone away. I had just
spent 2 hours googling on the Kiwi then went looking for a microphone group.

I see the Kiwi on sale, brand new for 1699.00. Looks like just what I
want. This group seems to be a useful place.

Anyone have any advice on those Orbit DVD duplicators...or those Alesis 820
DSP monitors? Oh wait I better google the group.

None of the Blue mikes are designed for all-around use.

It's a good mic. However, for "all around use" with this mic is
highly debateable. It's got quite an upper frequency rise, and is
very very clean (not much coloration). If you are starting on the
first steps of creating a professional mic locker, there are other
micrphones that have a more versatile overall frequency response (in
general) than this microphone.

I concur with Scott and Nathan: It's a good microphone for specialized uses,
but with a decided coloration. I wouldn't call it a general-use microphone. (It
does wonders for bass fiddle, however.)

Peace,
Paul
