I'm not a drum set player. I'm a concert and marching band kind of girl.
Never could get the coordination/independence thing going on. I'm really just
wondering if there are any mallets out there that people may suggest that I try
out. I'm trying for a new sound and the mike balter/vic firth/promark mallets
that I have are too intermediate of a sound for me. I love Stevens mallets.
I'm looking for something that's interchangable between an ensemble sound and a
recitalist sound. Anyone tried out the new evelyn glennie mallets? tips to my
email box would be great. Thanks a lot. it's shygrl143s@aol.com

I like the Vic Firth Robert Van Sice Model mallets for marimba. I've
used them since they were handmade by his wife years ago. I do like the
sound of the rubber core, but they are heavier than the synthetic core.
