Why is it everytime I go on to Kazza I get a virus? Anyone else have the
same problem?

John.

Don't download software off Kazaa?

No, I don't have the problem but I don't use it much for anything
other than searching for obscure music (some is legal even :-). Plus
I have a decent virus scanner.

But if you link to someone who lacks decent AV software, or doesn't
use it wisely -- and you can't control who you connect with -- it is
very easy to hit a virus.

Hi all
I've been following this thread with interest, as I use kazaa lite on
occasion to find the original version of a song the band I'm in want me to
learn.
Touchwood, so far I haven't had any problem with any virus being downloaded
onto my system but I do know that the anti virus software I have - AVG (free
edition) - is excellent at picking up on anything nasty trying to find it's
way onto my computer; it even 'kicked in' when it detected a possible
virus/corrupted script on a couple of websites I was visiting (I forget the
virus it named but it was something like the mailer worm one from last
year).

I'd heartily recommend to those that don't have any anti virus software, get
hold of the AVG free, and keep the virus definition file up to date on it.

Regards
