How are you syncing everything? Meaning is the ADAT the master or the
computer interface? ( and what interface are you using? ) What sync source
are you using, lightpipe, word clock or ? Did you defrag your hard drive
recently?
You should be able to easily transfer 8 channels with the computer you have.
