About 6 years ago I bought a Ibanez Talman series. The seller told me it was
a TC-820, but this model seems to have never existed through Ibanez ! They
had TC-620 and 920, but no 820 ! The "20" final means it is fitted with 2
'P90'-like pickups called Sky-100 (or something like that) and a
vintage-style vibrato (through-the-body, like a Strat). The first digit (6,8
or 9) is the level of quality/finition. Mine seems to be good as it seems
there is a 'glued' wooden top (like Les Paul's w/o the sunburst).
In addition, they made the following year a TC-825 with same
characteristics but with a Bigsby tremolo ! And no TC-925 !
Can anyone tell me if my guitar existed or not ? What woods is it made of ?
And what are these damned pickups with D.C. Impedances of 20.5 kOhms (Neck
P/U) and 19.5 kOhms (Bridge P/U), 'cause this is more than most humbuckers
from Seymour Duncan or DiMarzio and it doesn't seem it has the same power
out of them ?!?
Please, help me!
