I got the M-Box with Pro Tools, also got a matched pair of Rode NT5.
Have been doing a lot of recording. This in just me recording my self
playing a classical guitar.
It's a lot of fun by the way.

Is there anything missing in the picture?

I see all these mixers and all sorts of recording gear out there. Don't see
how any more stuff would be necessary being as how I'm just recording my
self (on one stereo track at a time).

Am I missing something or do you think I'm all set for a good sounding demo
CD?
Equipment wise that is.

Thanks.

If your engineering chops are there, I believe you can make a fine sounding
demo with the MBox.

Talent? I'm not saying you don't have it, but you never told us that you
do. If you are a talented guitarist and have a good ear, then nope, nothing
is missing. How do your recordings sound? Do they sound good enough for a
demo? Why don't you upload a couple of clips to a web site.

As far as gear is concerned, I think YOU are "getting" what everybody
else fails to see. You have what you need. Stop shopping. Now it's
time to make recordings. Work on your playing and your engineering
skills, and write a lot of songs. Where you go from there kind of
depends on what you hear when you play those CDs you're making. If it
doesn't sound good, the gear is probably the last thing you need to
worry about.

Marketing and sales so you can pay for all that stuff.

Monitors? Acoustic design? There are always better mics to be had. But
there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to make a good demo with
what you have if you're careful and you listen well to what you're
doing.

Why don't you start tracking & find out? Heck, if it's just you, you've got
nothing to lose & no one to get pissed off at you if it doesn't turn out the
way they expected, so go ahead & start having some fun & see how it sounds. You
can always add stuff later if you feel you need to.
